Once you have added a shift to an event, you will want to assign members to those shifts.
Easier to follow along if your:
- Event has shifts or shift types.
- Group has added members.
- Or users have been invited to your event in other ways.

Locating The Event's Shifts
Open an event, then, click the Members tab in the event's slide-out panel on the right.
Assigning Members Shifts
In the Members tab, you will find the shifts added to this event by your group. To assign one to a member, hover over "Unassigned" on the desired shift and click the Assign button that appears.
You can also do it from the slide-out that appears when you click elsewhere on the shift.
Then select a member of your group from the Available Users list to assign the user.
In Timeline
In the bottom left of the image above, you can see that In Timeline is enabled for this shift. Let's see how that plays out in an event.
The assigned member appears directly on the event's timeline if the shift has "In Timeline" enabled. Her shift is highlighted in yellow in the image below.
