Info Sections for Performances

Send info to people associated with a performance and collect info from them as well.

Important

This article covers both the Info Sections found in your group settings and the Info Sections found in your Festival Settings, as they are both connected.

This article will take you through the process of creating an Info Section—accessible to all of your group's festivals—and adding it to a festival. These Info Sections are more like metadata for Performances that can be filled out and viewed by festival admins. You can optionally share an individual field with artists in a Performance Advance so they can fill in the field themselves.

Locating the Info Sections

Though the Info Sections are for your festivals, they're managed in your group's settings. This is because the created Info Sections can be used across all of your festivals.

 

Creating an Info Section for Performances

Once you've arrived, click Create Section to get started.

Add a title and description, which will both be visible to anyone who views this Info Section. Once you're satisfied, click Create.

Note, the description here is clearly for performers rather than festival admins. This is because it's possible to choose fields from a performance info section to be filled out by artists during advancing.

 

Adding Fields

Click the info section you'd like to add fields to and Its contents will be shown. To start adding fields, click the Edit action button, then click Add Field.

 

You can use the Type dropdown list to select what kind of field you'd like to add to the Info Section. We have a handy guide that walks through custom fields if you're not familiar with what you see here. However, if you've used these kinds of fields in Crescat before, then you might have everything you need to proceed on your own.

Adding Info Sections to a Festival's Performances

Now it's time to add the Info Section to the performances of a given festival. This is done in the settings of that festival, whereas creating the Info Section was done in your group settings.

Locating the Settings

Click Settings under the festival you want to edit in the sidebar, then in the Settings menu, click Info Sections under Performances.

 

Navigating the Info Section Settings

The buttons outlined in red in the image below will take you to the place where Info Sections are created and managed, in your group Settings. The button outlined in yellow will add the associated info section to the Festival's performances.

 

Once the box is checked, the Info Section will be added to all of the festival's performances. If you'd like to see how it looks, click Performances under the festival in the sidebar, then select a performance from the list, if any. Then click the Info Sections at the top of the screen.
