Scheduler Control Panel

The zone at the bottom of the Scheduler gives you some quick actions and lets you specify what events to show.

About This Article

There are a lot of useful features packed into the little panel tucked away at the bottom of the Scheduler. With the exception of the Edit Modes, which will get its own article here, we'll take a look at each bit of the control panel in depth. There's a lot of functionality to cover, but it's all pretty simple and you'll master it in no time.

Locating the Scheduler

In the sidebar, open the festival you wish to view and click Scheduler.

Opening the Scheduler Control Panel

The top of the control panel can be seen peeking out at the very bottom of the Scheduler. Click the arrow that's pointing upward to make the full panel slide out.

Performances

Initially, it will open to the Performances tab where you can add performances to existing events in your festival.

Adding a Performance to an Event

Click and drag the desired performance from the performances pane and drop it on the event that requires it.

Rooms

Filter the events in the Scheduler by the rooms they utilize. Place a tick in the box next to a room name and all the events that do not use that room will disappear from the scheduler as shown below.

Types

Event type filters work on the opposite of Room filters. Here, ticking a box will actually show events with the ticked event type.

Settings

Settings give you control over other aspects of the Scheduler.

Start/End of Day

The Start of Day and End of Day fields cause the scheduler to only display the hours between the two times as in the image below.

Slot Duration

Slot Duration lets you control how much detail you get to see. Set the Slot Duration to a low number like 5 minutes to get scrutinizingly close, or soar high above the scheduler with a birds-eye view at 120-minute intervals. There are lots of options in between with the default being 15 minutes.

Update Event Name

When you add the first performance to an event, the Update Event Name feature can automatically change the name of the event to match the name of the performance.

Always Prompt will check with you each time before taking action,  Always Update will change the event name without asking first, and Never Update will disable this feature until you decide on a different option.

Calendar

The scheduler will only display the range of days that have been highlighted in the calendar.

Day View

This button will pop open a linear timeline view of the day's events.

Once you have some events, give the day view button a click to see what it does.

Download Report

Download a detailed and customizable report of the festival's events.

Click and configure the report parameters and when everything is the way you want it, click Download it as a PDF, unless of course, you switched on As CSV.
