While festivals provide novel experiences year after year, organizing a festival can sometimes get repetitive. Crescat strives to reduce unnecessary repetition and duplication wherever possible, so let's look at how you can utilize existing elements from your other festivals when organizing a new one.

Importing Elements from Previous Festivals
For the most part, locating the various elements will follow the same pattern and will become second nature.
In Your Festival's Settings
A festival's Settings is where you will import most elements from your other festivals.
If we navigate to our festival's settings, and then, as an example, click Users under Members, we can start importing Users from another one of our festivals.
Once you arrive on the Users page, click Import Existing in the upper right to get started.
If we import the roles from the other festival as well, then the users will retain those roles in the current festival.

Important messages about the import process will appear in red text within the slide-out panel as exemplified in the image above.
Scheduler
Populating the scheduler with elements from previous festivals works very similarly to the other features, but, when the festival scheduler is completely empty, you get a handy button to help you get started faster.
If the scheduler has any performances added, the button will disappear, but you can still import existing events when creating a new one in the scheduler. After clicking a slot in the scheduler, the Create New Event panel slides out. In the upper right corner, click Import Existing to get started.
If you've read this article top to bottom, you likely have a solid understanding of how all this works. When the ability to import exists in the system, there will typically be an Import Existing button in the upper right or another clearly labeled button. From there, a panel will slide out where you can select what to import.
