The Columns

At the top of the Task list, you'll see that each task shares the same columns, such as Task Name, Due Date, Group, User, etc.

Each column has a field where admins can edit the contents if they are not prepopulated.

Show or Hide Columns

Clicking Select Columns in the upper right will allow you to decide which columns to add or hide from your view.

Creating a Task

Wherever tasks are found, you'll see a Create New Task box like this one. Simply write the new task in the box to get started.

You'll then have the opportunity to add a few more details to the task. Click Create on the right when you're finished.

Editing a Task

Click a task to open its slide-out.

Complete, Subscribe, and Delete

At the top of the task editing panel, you can mark the task as Completed, click the bell to subscribe to notifications for this task, or Delete the task.

Of course, you can change the other details in this panel as well.

Commenting on a Task

You can also add and read comments in the task's edit panel.

Collaborators

At the very bottom, you can see who is collaborating on the task. You'll be added to the Collaborators bar when you create or are assigned a task, comment on the task, or if you click the bell at the top of the task's "edit" panel.

Completing Tasks

As noted above, you can click Complete task from the task editing slide-out.

But you can also do it in the task list by clicking the checkmark.

Filters

If there's a lot of tasks, its easier to find what you want by using the filters beside the Create Task field.

Locations

You'll find tasks in several places.

Your group's sidebar

An events slide-out

Within an event

Your festival's sidebar

Within a Festival Section

Within a Performance

Note

If the task was created within an event or performance, then the respective column will be filled out automatically. You can see that these tasks were created within various performances.

Notifications

To open your notifications, click your name in the upper right of Crescat.

Then in the menu that appears, click Tasks under Notifications. From there you can customize your task notifications the same way as any other notification.

Creating Custom Columns & Fields

Create a new column for your group's task list and decide what information it can receive.

Within your group's settings, click Tasks under Group Settings, or Festival Setup within your Festival's settings.

Once you arrive, click Add.

This image has been simplified. The elements are as depicted, but spread out a bit more.

Tip

To show the custom fields in your Tasks list, you'll need to enable it by clicking Select Columns and placing a checkmark in the box next to it.

The Field Types

You can select 1 of the 4 field types per custom column.

List

The List field type is a selection box with custom color-coded items inside.

This is how it looks in the task list.

You can also create fields reserved for:

Text

Numbers

A toggle switch

Please remember to select the columns you'd like to view when you return to your task list.
