Not Getting Crescat's Emails?

Use email whitelists and spam filters to start receiving messages from the Crescat system.

About This Article

It's still an ongoing battle for us to get around aggressive spam filters, and we're not throwing in the towel yet. For now, following this guide should help you receive important emails from the Crescat system.

Spam/Junk/Other

Most email providers offer a separate inbox for Spam and Junk email. It's not uncommon for our letters to arrive there instead of the inbox.

Inbox vs Other

Some email services separate incoming mail into at least two locations, a Main Inbox and an "other" inbox for less-important mail. If you don't see our letter anywhere else so far, it might be hiding in some tricky sorting feature in your mail provider's software.

Whitelisting

Whitelisting is the opposite of blacklisting. Email addresses in your email solution's whitelist will be allowed into your inbox regardless of what the spam filters think. Most mail service providers will have such a white-list feature and should have a detailed guide for adjusting the list.

Here is how to add Crescat to the whitelist of 3 of the major email providers. You'll want to add both crescat.io and crescat.no as trusted domains.

Gmail

At the time of writing this, you'll want to set the filter "never send emails to spam". Google may change this at any time without our knowledge.

Other

While we cant create a guide for every provider, here's a general tip for when you locate the email: A typical feature of a modern email solution is the ability to right-click on an email in your spam folder and click something along the lines of "not spam". If the "not spam" option isn't there, try clicking something like "move" and then click "inbox". It might teach your mail spam filter that Crescat is desirable.
