Crescat Groups

What and where is my Group?

About This Article

This article will try to help you better understand what a group is, and where to change the group you are viewing. In short, it's a place where the admins of the group can create and manage events, members, and basically everything except your personal page and other Crescat Groups. For more info, please read on.

What Is a Crescat Group

A Crescat group is a collection of Members, Events, Rooms, Festivals, Documents, and other such resources. Crescat Groups are run by admins who can Add, Delete, Create, and Manage all aspects of their group.

You may only enter a group via invite and others may decide whether or not to remove you from the group.

Here is an example of a Crescat Group called Bergen Concert House. There are many options between Dashboard and Settings in a Crescat group than what you'd find on your personal page.

Do I Have a Group?

Not by default. By default, you have an account on Crescat, which has a Personal Page that looks the same as a Group on the surface.

An example of a personal page. The other options presented are Crescat Groups. A user only has one personal page.

Unlike a group; you cannot create events, add or manage members, etc. The only things that can appear on your personal page (the page named after you) are Events and Assignments that have been given to you by groups that you are a part of, or are collaborating with.

Note

There are fewer options in the sidebar in your personal page compared to a group. This is because your personal page doesn't have any large administrative tasks to perform.
