About This Article
This article aims to guide you through the process of setting up a Metadata template and sharing fields with subgroups. If you're looking to add Metadata to an event, you can refer to this article.
Throughout this article, we will be adding metadata fields. If you need a breakdown of how to use fields in Crescat, click here.
Locating your group's Metadata
To get started, click Settings under your group, and then select Metadata under Templates.
Creating a New Metadata Template
From there, you can create a new metadata template by clicking on Create and adding a descriptive name for the template.
Adding Fields to Your Metadata Template.
To add fields to your metadata template, click on Edit and then Add Field.
For this metadata template, Attendees, let's add some Number fields to keep track of guests, seating, etc.
Small-sized fields take up 1/4th of the horizontal space. Medium takes 1/2 and Large takes all of the horizontal space.
You can add a linebreak after a field by clicking its Edit icon. If you don't see the pencil, then you might not be in Edit mode ( activated by the action button in the upper right of the page).
Then click the Linebreak After toggle switch, then click Update.
💡You can also add the linebreak during field creation.
Here's the result:
You can also share the field with subgroups by clicking Add beside the subgroup's name.
Clicking the Can Edit toggle will allow this subgroup to edit this field and clicking Remove will stop sharing it with the group.
Now that you know how it works, keep adding fields and linebreaks until you have everything you need.
When you're finished, click the Done action button.
