Once you have added a shift to an event, you will want to assign members to those shifts.
Easier to follow along if your:
- Event has shifts or shift types.
- Group has added members.
- Or users have been invited to your event in other ways.

Locating The Event's Shifts
Click an event in the dashboard of your group to open the inspector, then click the Members tab.
Assigning Members Shifts
In the Members tab, you will find the shifts that have been added to this event by your group. To assign a member to one of those shifts, click the desired shift in the list.
Then select a member of your group from the Assigned User dropdown list and click Update when you are satisfied with your changes.
In Timeline
In the bottom left of the image above, you can see that In Timeline is enabled for this shift. Let's see how that plays out in an event.
As you can see in the image below, Tom appears directly on the event's timeline, and his shift is marked in yellow.
